Pres-On Ultra-Narrow Silicone Tape Saves Time In Assembly of Appliances and Consumer Electronics

ADDISON, IL, January 17, 2008 — To meet the assembly requirements of manufacturers of appliances, electronics, lighting and other products, Pres-On is now offering its popular S-600 Silicone Tape slit-cut into narrow 3/16-inch widths and pre-packaged onto a common core. Set side-by-side on a spool, the tape is fast and easy for line workers to remove and apply, eliminating several steps in the process and reducing tape waste.

Because S-600 prevents penetration of fine particles, it is an excellent way to protect products from environmental damage, including those designed for outdoor use.

UL recognized for flame retardance and gasketing, S-600 tapes are constructed of ahighly versatile, medium firmness silicone that combines the lightness of foam with the sealing of traditional sponge rubber. A pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive -- lab tested to perform in environments from –25°F to 300°F -- is applied to one side with a removable liner.
